Find missing buffs and spells in the Cooldown Manager

If you’re having issues finding specifics buffs or spells in your Cooldown Manager UI, you’re not alone. The new Cooldown Manager has introduced a number of unexpected behaviors, including accidentally hiding information for players. Even with all addons disabled and all talents set to default, spells can still be invisible to the Cooldown Manager.

For example, on my Arms Warrior the ability to track my buff for “Sweeping Strikes” was completely missing. This buff is supposed to display in this category, and was showing for other players, but simply didn’t exist for my character at all. You can see it missing here:

What causes buffs to become hidden?

The Cooldown Manager supports the ability to have multiple profiles. For some reason, many players are logging in and finding that a Cooldown Manaer profile has been automatically created for them, often named “11”. For unclear reasons, this “11” profile hides common spells and buffs from players, and is loaded into their UI.

How do I fix hidden spells and buffs in the Cooldown Manager?

Luckily, the solution is very simple. All you need to do is the following steps:

  1. Open your Cooldown Settings panel (as seen in the image below)
  2. In the bottom-left corner, select the profile dropdown menu.
    1. This will likely say “11”.
  3. Select either “Starter Layout” or “+ New Layout” instead.
  4. Confirm your buff or spell shows up again successfully.

It’s not clear what causes this issue, but at least we have a known workaround!
